Respected cancer journals are publishing articles that identify safer and more effective chemotherapy drugs regimens, yet only a few medical institutions in the United States are incorporating these synergistic methods into clinical practice. Cancer patients for the most part are suffering through brutal chemotherapy regimens that have long ago proven themselves to be ineffective.
The Foundation's chemotherapy protocol provides concise information about reducing some of the side effects of cytotoxic chemotherapy and utilizing other drugs to enhance the cancer-cell killing effects of these drugs.
(After reading this protocol, it is important that chemotherapy patients refer to the Cancer (Adjuvant) Treatment Protocol for additional information about enhancing the efficacy of chemotherapy drug therapies.)

“With our present partial knowledge of the function of the endocrine chain of glands, it appears as though the suprarenals were the first to show signs of fatigue, for the simple reason that they seem to have most of the work to do in the auto-protective functions.” (McNulty, J., New York Medical Journal, 1921, XCIII, pg. 288)
The purpose of your adrenal glands is to help your body cope with stresses and survive. In this article we will take a look at what happens when your adrenal glands get stressed out and what you can do about it. Normally, the adrenal glands secrete minute, yet precise and balanced, amounts of steroid hormones. But because your adrenals are designed to be so very responsive to changes in your inner physical, emotional and psychological environment, any number of factors can interfere with this finely tuned balance. As a result, physical, emotional and psychological stress can cause a decrease in the output of adrenal hormones, particularly cortisol. This reduction in adrenal activity is called hypoadrenia. “Hypo” simply means lower and so hypoadrenia is a general term referring to the whole range of lowered adrenal activity from zero to almost normal.

Rejuvenate: Make young or as if young again (Concise Oxford Dictionary).
A unique and unusual substance called mesenchyme has arrived on the American market with little notice or fanfare. However, you will be hearing a lot about it in the years to come. Mesenchyme will revolutionize the way we handle health problems because of its astonishing and well-documented ability to repair and rejuvenate damaged cells and tissues.
Mesenchyme is undifferentiated embryonic connective tissue, the true mother lode of cell growth and cell regeneration. Mesenchymal cells develop during the early embryonic stages of mammalian gestation and are the source material from which most of the mammalian body's organs and tissues are made - everything from bones, muscles, and connective tissue to the central nervous system (Moore 1989). What is extraordinary about mesenchyme is that when it is ingested it migrates to the area of greatest injury in the body. Once there, it aligns itself with the damaged cells and/or tissues, becomes identical to them, and then starts replicating.
Vitamin A and Measles
The use of vitamin A can greatly benefit children with severe measles. The July 19, 1990 (Vol. 323 No. 3) New England Journal of Medicine contains an article entitled "A Randomized, Controlled Trial of Vitamin A in Children with Severe Measles."
Although this common childhood disease often just "comes and goes," the fact is that many children become seriously ill from measles. Also, the disease kills about 2 million children a year. This study shows that the use of vitamin A supplements can have a dramatic impact on this disease, including a decrease in the length of the disease, reduced side effects (pneumonia, diarrhea and croup) and a reduced death rate.
Although this is the first major study on the use of vitamin A in measles, vitamin A therapy for bacterial, viral and protozoan infections has been known and used (although not widely) for many years.
A simple blood test may detect low vitamin A. However, the authors of this report say that "all children with severe measles should be given vitamin A supplements, whether or not they are thought to have a nutritional deficiency."
While the general public too often over-prescribes vitamins, hospitals may be under-utilizing these vital nutrients.
Doctors in U.S. hospitals order over 3.5 millions vitamin prescriptions yearly. However, a report in the Journal of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (13 [3]:262-264,1989) shows that this number should be significantly higher.
The report demonstrated that of 103 patients studied, 83 had at least one indication for vitamin therapy. Of these, only 35 were given either full or partial vitamin supplementation. Of the 68 who were not given any vitamins, 48 had genuine evidence for vitamin therapy. In all cases, standard tests were used to evaluate the need for supplementation.
Vitamin K and Nausea in Pregnancy
It appears that Vitamin K may have benefits for pregnant women. During pregnancy, the placenta sometimes leaks toxic substances through the capillaries (tiny blood vessels) into the blood stream. When this event occurs, Vitamin K, a clotting factor, can be used to correct the problem. This problem also may be the reason why many women experience nausea during pregnancy. For nausea relief, a one to two milligram dosage, three times daily, of fat soluble Chlorophyll (a good source of Vitamin K) is recommended until the nausea subsides.
A Unique Look at Calcium
As everyone knows, calcium is a vitally important mineral for the body. In addition to its commonly known role in building and maintaining strong bones and teeth, calcium is also important for blood clotting, enzyme regulation (especially in energy production), and the integrity of all cells, including muscle function.
The calcium problem encountered most often is not that people need more of it in their diet, or that they need to take calcium supplements; it's that many people do not properly utilize the calcium they already have in their bodies. There are many factors that either decrease or increase the body's ability to use calcium. Before discussing that aspect, let's briefly look at how calcium works in the body.
Calcium is carried through the bloodstream in two distinct forms: about half is in a usable ionized form, and the other half is attached to protein, phosphate and citrate and is unavailable as a nutrient. However, if the pH (the acid/alkaline balance) is too alkaline, even the usable calcium may not be used.

For normal functioning, the human body generates most of the fat it requires from fatty acids it derives from the breakdown of carbohydrates (ie, starches and sugars). However, the human system is incapable of producing two "essential" fatty acids from carbohydrates. These fatty acids are known collectively as essential fatty acids (EFAs). They are most prevalent in certain types of oils but can be found at low concentrations in virtually all types of food.
EFAs are distinguished by their chemical configurations. Although they are part of the same family, they do not function in the same capacity. In fact, they have been shown to compete against one another within the body's metabolic pathways.1 This article will focus on the importance of EFAs in the development and function of the human brain.
DEFINING ESSENTIAL FATTY ACIDS
In 1929, researchers discovered that mammals are unable to synthesize linoleic acid (18:2n-6) and alphalinolenic acid (18:3n-3); as a result, these fatty acids are essential components of the mammalian diet.2 Alphalinolenic acid (ALA) is an omega-3 fatty acid and its first double bond is 3 carbons away from the methyl end. Linoleic acid (LA) is an omega-6 fatty acid its first double bond is 6 carbons away from the methyl end.

Daniel was getting progressively weaker. His joints and muscles ached, he felt mentally confused, and he was always tired. His work as an attorney was suffering badly because he just couldn't concentrate. His doctor listened sympathetically, but examinations and lab tests found nothing wrong. Based on his medical results, Daniel should have been the picture of health. His doctor thought Daniel was suffering from depression and prescribed antidepressant medication. Daniel took the pills, but they only made him feel worse and more exhausted than ever.
In desperation, Daniel decided to consult a nutritionist - me. A complete nutritional evaluation revealed that Daniel's liver was functioning at only half its normal capacity. Daniel's inefficient liver was letting wastes build up in his body, like a toxic storage dump. No wonder he was tired all the time.

Live cell therapy is a unique and increasingly popular method of treatment for many conditions in which live whole cells or cell extracts are administered in their natural form. Although centuries old, new refinements in technology have made this form of therapy a treatment mode that is on the verge of exploding. Why? Because live cell therapy offers something that vitamins, minerals and other natural treatments cannot. It can provide the exact components necessary for the injured or diseased tissue to totally heal and sometimes regenerate. Live cell therapy has several names. It is also known as cellular therapy, live protein extracts, live cell fractions, tissue extracts, organotherapy or live cell extracts. It arises from the old adage that like cures like, in that when an organ or tissue is diseased and the same healthy organ or gland from the same or another species is given, it results in the strengthening and/or healing of the affected organ or gland. The tissue used for live cell tissue extracts is typically from the organs or glands of sheep, cattle, pigs and more recently from the cartilage of shark.
